This Was a Great Time to Go to New York City

I will be the first to admit that I am incredibly excited Spring is here. I know that winter was the same length this year as it is every year, but because it was especially cold, it seemed like it lasted for longer. Even though winter does always get my spirits down, it is officially over, so it’s time for me to be excited once again. Instead of spending time talking about a season I don’t even like, let’s talk about how I am kicking off Spring.

Towards the start of last month, my brother was talking to me and asked if I thought it would be fun to go with him to New York City. Since I always enjoy traveling and almost all of the arrangements were taken care of, this was an offer that I couldn’t turn down. As you probably guessed, I said yes to this offer and was really excited for my trip to begin. Our trip got off to a great start when we made it through the airport without any delays.

Upon leaving the plane, the first thing we did was to get our New York City car rental. Booking things like your New York City car rental online is always a good idea, because it will save you time during your actual trip. As soon as we had this, the fun began for us. We spent the next five days in New York City, and had an absolutely awesome time together.

Going away at the start of Spring really set things off well for me, and I just feel like I am on a natural high right now!

The Big Apple is Incredible

If you have never actually visited New York before, I cannot emphasize how much I think you should go. I realize that as a result of television shows and movies, you probably think that you have a good idea of what New York is like, but coming from someone who felt the same way until I recently went to New York, I can tell you that going there is a completely different experience than seeing this city on the big or small screen (and I mean that in the best way possible).

The reason that I have so much to say about New York is because I just returned from a trip there a little less than two weeks ago. I got to stay in New York for a full four days, and it was simply an amazing place to be. In addition to seeing so many of the locations that I had seen on my television in person, I had the opportunity to explore places that you only get to see if you actually take a trip to New York.

I’m not sure when I will get to return to New York, but fortunately I will have my memories to hold on to until that time comes again.

You Can’t Go Wrong with a Trip to the Big Apple

New York City is such an amazing place. Regardless of whether you live on the East Coast, the Midwest, the West Coast or any place else in the world, it’s hard not to be excited and impressed when you spend time in New York City. New York City is known as the city that never sleeps, and from my personal experience there, this could not be more true.

While I have been to New York City on several occasions (because I enjoy being there so much), my most recent trip was around two months ago. I had a little bit of time off for the holidays, and after I got done spending time with my loved ones, I decided that it would be a lot of fun to go to New York City. I only got to spend a couple of days there, but I still was able to have an excellent time. From the food to the attractions to the general atmosphere, I can’t think of a single instance when I was disappointed during any of my trips to New York City.

I Can’t Think of a Better Place to Spend Spring Break than New York City

I really enjoy being outside and laying by the pool during the summertime. However, because I work as a lifeguard, I have a full three months to do this during the summer. Since my entire summer is devoted to getting tan and being outside, I never really feel the need to spend my Spring Break at the beach. Instead, I like to use Spring Break as an opportunity to travel to someplace that I have been wanting to go for quite awhile.

I have been on some really enjoyable Spring Break trips in the past, but I think that there is a very good chance that this year’s trip is going to top my list. The reason that I say this is because I am going to be going to New York City for my full week of Spring Break this year. I have always thought that New York City is a place that I would eventually like to live, and I think that this trip is going to be the perfect opportunity to really figure out whether or not that is true.

Bonding with My Daughter in New York City

I feel really fortunate that my daughter and I have a close relationship. One of the main reasons that I say this is because my daughter is currently a teenager, and as I have learned from talking to many of my friends, this is an age when relationships between many mothers and their daughters completely crumble. Fortunately, this is something that I have been able to avoid with my own daughter. Sure, there are times when she gets mad at me or argues with me, but the important thing is that none of these events last for a long period of time.

Since we do still get along quite well, I always do my best to make time to spend with her. As a recent example, I took her shopping in New York City about a week and a half ago. We live fairly close to New York City, so one morning I picked up a rental car, and then I drove the two of us into the city. Once we got there, we started shopping (there were still a lot of great post-holiday sales), and we had an amazing time shopping and eating lunch & dinner together.

My Life is Really Coming Together

Since I was a little kid, I have always had big dreams. Even though a lot of people didn’t believe in me, my parents have always supported all of my dreams, and just having the support from both of them has been enough to keep me working hard and constantly pursuing my dreams. While it hasn’t been easy, it looks like all of my hard work is going to start paying off in the very near future.

I have always dreamed of going to NYU, and since I will be graduating from high school in May, I applied to NYU awhile back. Not only did I get an early acceptance letter, but I also received a substantial academic scholarship from this school. Although I have only been to New York City twice (once was to visit the NYU campus), I can already tell that it’s going to be a place that I love calling my home. New York City is filled with people who are working hard to pursue their dreams, and since this is exactly how I already am, I know that I am going to have no trouble fitting in with the type of people that I want to meet while I am living in New York City.

What’s Better than the Big Apple at Christmas Time?

Normally, all of my Christmas Days have been fairly low key. However, I already know that this Christmas is going to be the best one I have ever experienced. The reason that I am going to have an amazing Christmas can all be traced back to my new girlfriend. While we have only been dating for nine months, the bond that we have formed with each is extremely close. Because of this, she invited me to spend Christmas in New York City with her and her family. Although my parents were a little upset that I wasn’t going to be spending this Christmas with them, they were able to understand exactly why I would want to spend my Christmas in New York.

I’m so excited about the trip that I am going to get to take with my girlfriend. Not only will this be my first time to spend Christmas in New York City, but it will be the first time that I have visited New York City at all. I know that I’m going to look like a goofy tourist while I am there, but I’m sure that I will be having such a good time that I’m not going to worry at all if people are judging me for being so impressed by New York City.

Do I Recommend New York City Car Rental?

This may come as a surprise, but I do actually recommend New York City car rental. Now, if you think that this is a foolish recommendation, you need to continue reading, because I have some good reasons to back up my thoughts on this topic.

To begin with, getting a New York City car rental gives you freedom. Although you may think you know what you are going to do during your trip to New York City, your plans could change drastically once you arrive. However, as long as you have a car rental, you will have the freedom to easily adapt to the changes in your plan.

Another reason that I recommend getting a New York City car rental is because it is economical. While taking taxis everywhere may seem cheap, the fares you will pay will begin to add up. Each ride might not be expensive, but when you look at them as a whole, it’s definitely not cheap.

So, if you are taking a trip to New York City and decide to get a rental car, I think that you will be very happy that you followed my advice and made the decision to rent a car for your trip.

I Had Five Job Interviews in New York City

Although I will be one of my only friends to accomplish it, I am successfully going to graduate college with a Bachelor’s degree in just four years. Even though four years is the standard amount of time that it takes to earn a Bachelor’s degree, because college is such a crazy transition period in most people’s lives, it usually takes four and a half to six years for many people to earn their degree. While I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off, I remained focused through semester after semester, and it looks like all of my hard work is truly going to pay off for me.

Because I will no longer be a student, I am going to need to have a job when I graduate. Obviously, I had jobs during high school (and actually worked during the majority of my college career), but the job I land after college will be the first one that is part of my career path.

Since it takes a lot of time to find the right job, I recently took a trip to New York City for interviews. Although I was only there for three days, I had five different jobs interviews during this period of time. I thought they all went well, and I’m excited to hear back from the companies in the coming weeks!

It’s Still January?

The title of this post may sound pretty funny to you, but I actually have a very good reason for raising that question. This reason that I used that question as the title of this post is because that is how I honestly feel right now. We aren’t even halfway through January yet, but I already feel like it has been 2009 for at least a couple of months. I think the reason that I feel this way is because I have been incredibly busy since the very beginning of 2009.

After having a multi-day celebration with all of my friends to welcome in 2009, I had to take a trip to New York City. The reason that I had to go to New York City is that there is a very good chance that my company is going to be merging with another company, and if the merger successfully closes, they have chosen me as one of the people they want to go to New York City to make sure things go as smoothly as possible. So, since this could be my new home, they first wanted me to go and make sure that I liked New York City (which I promptly told them I did).
