Taking a trip to the Big Apple can be exciting for those that have never been there. There is so much to do in this city that never sleeps, planning a trip can be overwhelming. Most people in New York City take taxis to get around. While visiting New York City, car rental is an option, but you will have to be prepared for aggressive drivers. Another good thing about getting around in New York City, specifically Manhattan, is all the streets are on a grid AND they are numbered, both in the north-south direction and east-west direction. If you have a rental car, this is one less stressful thing to worry about as you squeeze in between all the yellow taxicabs that flood the streets of Manhattan.
One of the must see things to do in NYC include going to the theater. While it is ideal to go to a Broadway show, there are plenty of entertaining an affordable off-Broadway plays to see. Look for deals ahead of time or ask around.
Other attractions include the Empire State Building, Wall Street, Ground Zero Museum, art museums, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and Times Square.
Lastly, food options are plentiful, but two must haves are a slice of New York style pizza and a sandwich from a delicatessen.
