When people think of the East Coast, the first place they automatically think about is New York City. There are an endless amount of reasons why New York City is the first place that comes to their mind, but in all honesty, I think all of the reasons can be summarized into the fact that New York City is really the symbol of America. I obviously know that Washington is the capital of the United States, but because of everything that has happened in New York City, I almost believe that it is a better symbol for America as a whole.
Since I’m from a fairly small town, when I found out that I was going to have an opportunity to visit New York City for myself, I literally could not contain my excitement. I had always dreamed about visiting New York City (and possibly moving there one day), and now my dreams were coming true.
I spent a total of six days in New York City, and I have to say that it turned out to be everything that I had hoped for (and then some more). Even though I had to return home after my trip, my motivation is greater than ever to one day move to New York City.
